W 2014 roku ukończył studia magisterskie w zakresie kompozycji w klasie prof. dra hab. Krystiana Kiełba (z wynikiem celującym oraz Dyplomem Honorowym Primus Inter Pares) oraz w klasie skrzypiec dr Małgorzaty Kogut-Ślandy (z wynikiem bardzo dobrym) w Akademii Muzycznej im. Karola Lipińskiego we Wrocławiu. Wielokrotnie był stypendystą Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego, Ministra Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego i Prezydenta Miasta Wrocławia. Laureat programu stypendialnego „Młoda Polska 2016”, konkursu Studencki Nobel (2014) oraz Nagrody Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego dla studentów uczelni artystycznych za wybitne osiągnięcia (2012).

Jego utwory były wykonywane m.in. w Polsce, Niemczech, Wielkiej Brytanii, Danii, Serbii, Holandii, Czechach, na Litwie oraz w Australii i USA. Ma w dorobku laury kilku międzynarodowych i ogólnopolskich konkursów kompozytorskich; zdobył m.in. I nagrodę na IV Konkursie Kompozytorskim Śląskiej Trybuny Kompozytorów im. W. Szalonka w Katowicach (2009), III nagrodę na Konkursie Kompozytorskim im. G. Fitelberga w Katowicach (2011), II nagrodę na I Międzynarodowym Konkursie Kompozytorskim Krzysztofa Pendereckiego ARBORETUM w Radomiu (2012) oraz wyróżnienie na Międzynarodowym Konkursie GENERACE w Ostrawie (2013).

Twórczość kompozytorska Adam Porębskiego obejmuje różnorodne gatunki i formy muzyki instrumentalnej, wokalnej, wokalno-instrumentalnej oraz elektroakustycznej. Obok aktywności kompozytorskiej ważne miejsce w życiu artysty zajmuje sztuka wykonawcza w zakresie gry na skrzypcach i fortepianie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem muzyki XX i XXI wieku, w tym propagowanie twórczości Ryszarda Bukowskiego. Chętnie podejmuje się także działań improwizatorskich, również z wykorzystaniem live electronics.

In 2014 he completed his master’s studies in composition with Prof. Dr Hab. Krystian Kiełb (with distinction and the Honorary Diploma Primus Inter Pares) and in violin playing with Dr Małgorzata Kogut-Ślanda (with the highest mark) at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. He received the scholarships granted by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Minster of Science and Higher Education and the Mayor of the City of Wrocław several times. He was also the winner of the ‘Young Poland 2016’ grant programme, the Student’s Nobel Prize competition, and received the Award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage given to students of artistic universities for outstanding accomplishments (2012).

His compositions were performed, among others, in Poland, Germany, Great Britain, Denmark, Serbia, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Australia and the USA. He is a winner of several Polish and international composers’ competitions; he received, among others, the 1st prize at the 4th Witold Szlonek Competition of the Silesian Rostrum of Composers in Katowice (2009), the 3rd prize at the Grzegorz Fitelberg Composers’ Competition (2011), the 2nd prize at the 1stKrzysztof Penderecki International Composers’ Competition ARBORETUM in Radom (2012) and an honourable mention at the International Competition GENERACE in Ostrava (2013).

Adam Porębski’s output includes various instrumental, vocal, vocal-and-instrumental and electroacoustic genres and forms. Apart from composing, an important part of his artistic activity is piano and violin playing, with special emphasis on music of the 20th and 21st centuries, including the promotion of Ryszard Bukowski’s works. He also engages in improvisation projects, including live electronics.
